About The Position

1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled Equipment Field Service Mechanic to join a reputable client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment including hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical components. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in diesel mechanics or hydraulics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in field service mechanics or heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation and diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record; DOT certification is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently to customer sites.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment or field service mechanic role.
  • Proficient in diesel engine repair, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record essential; DOT certification preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and machinery on customer sites.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure safety standards.
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to perform repairs accurately.
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers and management.
  • Operate tools and diagnostic equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Travel extensively to various job sites as required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed.
