About The Position

As an Equipment Evaluation Specialist, you will be engaging with commercial teams to drive new business volume and develop strategies to finance new asset classes. You are responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and researching various types of equipment to accurately determine market dynamics and asset values. You will be working closely with sales, customers, and dealers to provide solutions to assist in the development of new business volume in existing programs, and the development of new programs. In addition, you will be responsible for equipment valuations during the end of lease process along with default assets. You will be reporting to the America’s Regional Asset Manager. This role delivers asset expertise to support both origination activities and risk management of the existing and future portfolio for Food, Agriculture and Outdoors (FA&O) equipment. You will be responsible for working closely with the local commercial and /or C&R team members to support asset evaluation needs on an ad hoc basis for both new business and distressed customers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge or experience with industry asset valuation techniques and processes
  • Experience in working with commercial teams
  • Must have excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to bring a creative and innovative perspective with the ability to execute
  • Genuine interest in and relevant knowledge of the Food, Agriculture and Outdoors sector and the commercial operations within it.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an international capacity is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and align working relationships with Program Management, Sales, and New Business Development to identify and pursue commercial opportunities and then execute them to delivery.
  • Analysis and estimate asset values at end of lease, along with distressed assets.
  • Support asset and program data uploads within internal systems
  • Keep up to date with the equipment that our vendor partners manufacture and sell, along with their competitors. Providing the business unit with updates on new product launches and market developments within the FA&O sectors.
  • Be a point of contact for OLV, RV, price check and asset approval requests in North America for the business unit.
  • Prepare Vendor Reports and Ad Hoc reports for review by the Asset Management Committee.
  • Liaising with third party asset valuators and other DLL Asset (Evaluators) Managers and challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Research and review of various countries, local business practices and customs, markets, etc. that may impact asset values across North America.
  • Participate in Asset Management related projects (within and outside BU).
  • Occasional travel.
