As an Equipment Engineering Technician within our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will support the uptime and optimization of high-precision manufacturing tools that are critical to production success. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in reducing tool downtime, troubleshooting complex systems, and improving equipment performance. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams in a cleanroom environment to support our mission of delivering high-quality AR products to market.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment repair
  • Completion of a technical college program or Bachelor’s in a technical field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and electrical diagnostics
  • Proficient in troubleshooting vacuum-based semiconductor tools
  • Familiar with PLCs, sensor feedback, and alarm resolution
  • Comfortable working independently and supporting remote vendor diagnostics
  • Understanding of cleanroom and ESD protocols
  • Experience documenting maintenance activities using systems like FIIX

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with calibration using Long-Term Stability (LTS) fixtures
  • Prior experience with vision systems and integration troubleshooting
  • Cleanroom experience in a Class 100 environment
  • Background in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs on high-precision tools.
  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, pumps, chillers, sensors, PLCs, and robotic systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
  • Execute and improve preventive maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Partner with engineers for tool upgrades, experiments, and data collection.
  • Analyze equipment data for root causes and implement performance improvements.
  • Mentor junior techs and help create training documents and SOPs.
  • Support cleanroom compliance and safety protocols during all activities.
