About The Position

The position involves supervising shift technicians, managing attendance, PTO approvals, work schedules, and performance evaluations. The role requires leading technicians on daily priorities based on production needs and collaborating with equipment engineers and management. Responsibilities include supporting engineering improvement projects, providing updates on critical tasks, mentoring technicians in troubleshooting, and maintaining wafer processing tools. The individual will coordinate both reactive and preventive maintenance on various equipment, track maintenance progress, and ensure technicians have the necessary tools. The role also involves data collection to resolve equipment issues, participating in continuous improvement projects, and being part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). The position requires effective communication with management and other departments, as well as the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Requirements

  • Military Electronics certification or AS technical degree in electronics preferred.
  • 7+ years experience maintaining wafer processing equipment.
  • Prior experience in a Lead or Supervisory role.
  • Maintenance knowledge in multiple equipment types such as TEL Mark Vz, ACT 8, ASML 5500, and others.

  • Practical knowledge and application of electronics, mechanics, vacuum theory, math, computers, and Testing.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs (i.e. Microsoft products).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts and cause and effect diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise shift technicians regarding attendance, PTO approval, work schedules, timecard approvals and performance.
  • Lead shift technicians on daily priorities and assignments based on Production needs and requirements from Equipment Engineers and Manager.
  • Support Engineering improvement projects and KPIs.
  • Follow up and provide updates on critical tasks and projects.
  • Guide and mentor/coach shift technicians on troubleshooting.
  • Maintain various wafer processing tools as directed by management and equipment engineers.
  • Run equipment to validate corrective actions were successful.
  • Coordinate/perform both reactive maintenance and scheduled preventive maintenance on various wafer and assembly processing tools.
  • Track, record and communicate progress of maintenance work being performed on Fab, Back End and Assembly equipment.
  • Train and mentor new team members.
  • Ensure technicians have necessary tools to perform required tasks.
  • Work independently and in a team environment when required.
  • Apply appropriate troubleshooting skills to correctly repair common failures.
  • Assist technicians and engineers in data collection to resolve reoccurring equipment issues.
  • Utilize available training materials, aids, and certification requirements to assist in meeting assigned personal improvement goals.
  • Participate in team meetings for continuous improvement projects.
  • Attend vendor offsite training as required.
  • Be a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities, Test Engineering and other Departments.
  • Provide timely updates/communications on Equipment status to Management as well as Camstar System.
  • Carry Company provided cell phones, maintaining communications to provide 24/7 factory support.
  • Travel both Domestically and Internationally if / when needed.

  • Must be able to pass and maintain an ERT clearance through periodic physicals.
