About the position

The Equipment Engineer at Foxconn Wisconsin will be part of a team responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining automated systems in a manufacturing environment. This role involves collaborating with leadership to assess current automation capabilities and identify future opportunities, while also creating project road maps for automation initiatives that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and localize automated systems for diverse manufacturing environments.
  • Lead discussions with leadership and stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals.
  • Support existing automation technology with upgrades and improvements.
  • Identify quality issues and write reports.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to resolve problems.
  • Continuously improve machine and process efficiencies.
  • Revise and streamline PLC programs to enhance functionality.
  • Perform hands-on assembly, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of network products.
  • Work on equipment control systems, robot control, equipment I/Os, and basic machine coding logic.
  • Implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts throughout the plant.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience working with automation equipment is highly desired.
  • Experience with network products (servers, switches) is a plus.
  • Strong customer service/satisfaction attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with robotics, end of arm tooling, position sensors, vision systems, and conveyors is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, and CATIA is preferred.
