The Equipment Engineer – Photolithography and Etch will execute defined tasks under close to moderate supervision in the photolithography and etch processes in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on equipment uptime, basic troubleshooting, and supporting process and maintenance engineers while learning to ensure alignment with process requirements and continuous improvement goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, startup, and qualification activities for photolithography and etch equipment.
  • Support documentation of equipment requirements, configurations, and procedures.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting activities and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers or vendors.
  • Use FDC, SPC, and available analytics tools with guidance to help identify issues and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Execute standard preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Follow established troubleshooting methods to support equipment stability.
  • Track basic tool metrics such as uptime and throughput.
  • Assist in updating dashboards and identifying performance trends under supervision.
  • Help manage spare parts inventory, including organization and ordering support.
  • Coordinate with vendors for routine tool support, upgrades, and repairs with guidance from senior staff.
  • Partner with process engineers to ensure equipment meets operational needs.
  • Support experiments, tests, and data collection related to process‑equipment performance.
  • Participate in cost, reliability, and efficiency improvement projects as a team member.
  • Contribute ideas and support data gathering, testing, and implementation activities.
