About The Position

The Equipment Disassembly Technician is responsible for breaking down medical equipment, identifying components, cleaning, and packaging them. This role requires a mechanically minded individual with experience in using hand tools, reading mechanical diagrams, and maintaining equipment. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient processing and management of medical parts and equipment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in breaking down medical equipment and identifying components.
  • Experience in using hand tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail for proper identification, labeling, and inspection of equipment and parts.
  • Capability to identify broken or damaged equipment and parts.
  • Inventory management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Proactive approach towards safety, health, and quality.
  • Ability to follow separation procedures for scrap materials.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Long-term commitment to the company.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, wrap, and store medical parts into stock.
  • Distribute supplies, equipment, and parts to departments in a timely manner.
  • Properly identify, label, and inspect equipment and parts.
  • Clean equipment and parts as required or needed.
  • Identify broken or damaged equipment and parts.
  • Maintain department inventory of supplies.
  • Rehabilitate equipment as necessary.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and mechanical diagrams to properly identify parts and systems.
  • Maintain, clean, and organize the warehouse as instructed.
  • Assist with equipment transfers to other service centers.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all company, governmental, and customer regulations.
  • Follow separation procedures to obtain maximum value from scrap materials.
  • Perform any additional duties regarding the Harvesting department as deemed necessary by the Harvest Department Manager.
