About The Position

As a Equipment Customer Service Representative , you will play a major role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our customers. You will be the face of the power equipment department and responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience. The ability to help customers with questions or finalizing a purchase with a smile and pleasant shopping experience will be required. You will represent and promote the sales operation of Landscapers Supply/Ace Hardware in a positive manner that ensures customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in equipment sales, including prospecting, presenting, and closing deals
  • Strong knowledge of Lawn Mowers, Hand Held Equipment , and Customer Service.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships through trust and consultative selling
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Skilled in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate equipment solutions
  • Experience preparing quotes, proposals, and sales contracts
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margins, financing options, and warranty offerings
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Capable of conducting equipment demonstrations and explaining technical features
  • Organization skills
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Paladin POS system
  • Basic knowledge of selling lawn mowers and other power equipment

Responsibilities

  • Greet Customers entering or leaving your department with a smile and pleasant personality
  • Engage customers in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner in person and on the phone.
  • Ask customers open ended questions to determine their needs
  • Maintain work area, and surrounding areas in a clean and professional manner.
  • Report to your Manager any Security and loss prevention issues.
  • Follow up with Customers on potiential Sales
