WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: As an Equipment Coordinator, you are expected to participate in all aspects of eBDR and eProgesa related issues, software upgrades and electronic equipment technologies. You would be responsible for eBDR user data base; eBDR and all peripheral equipment including receipt, storage, security during storage, maintenance and repair; coordination of eBDR set usage throughout the region ensuring its availability at mobile and fixed collection site as well as training environment; and coordinating region-wide implementation and support for any/all future soft/hardware releases and updates. Responsible for all eProgesa equipment, including maintenance, repair, and validation. As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there. Requirements

  • 2 years of technical experience in laptop hardware maintenance/repair, cabling and network infrastructure support; software installation and upgrade; or installation and troubleshooting of printers and other peripheral computer equipment required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others of varying technical competency, vendors, departments, and managers.
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in computer science or related degree.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots, performs repairs, and interacts with vendor on maintenance agreement issues to ensure sufficient equipment to meet operational demands are available daily, to include determining if new equipment must be ordered; and provides problem solving advice to management.
  • Serves as the contact person for Collections staff to assure replacement or repair, as needed, of eBDR equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to cords, jacks, plug, toner and paper.
  • Serves as contact for manufacturing staff for installation, maintenance, and repair of eProgesa equipment.
  • Maintain Maximo system.
  • Analyze and trend eBDR equipment problems.
  • Uses designated computer equipment for control and update of equipment.
  • Assure all equipment is maintained properly to include, regional configurations and qualifications 100% of the time.
  • Ensure integrity of equipment through appropriate packing and delivery.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work place.
  • Import eBDR database weekly and provide additional supplies as detected during weekly process.
  • Some travel may be required.
