About The Position

The Equipment Coordinator – Heavy Equipment is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by ensuring regulatory compliance, documentation control, fuel management, and effective coordination of heavy equipment and vehicle fleet operations.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, additional and/or different hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed, to best serve the business operations.
  • Ability to maintain a valid and current driver’s license.
  • At a minimum, the Equipment Coordinator – Heavy Equipment must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 5+ years of relevant equipment management experience and a current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain heavy equipment documentation in compliance with Louisiana State regulations, DOT/FMCSA requirements (when applicable), and project governance procedures.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready document control systems.
  • Monitor and control fuel consumption, supporting cost tracking and variance analysis.
  • Administer and operate the ATLAS fleet monitoring platform, ensuring data accuracy and reporting.
  • Coordinate availability and utilization of fleet vehicles and trucks.
  • Support internal and external audits related to fleet compliance and operations.
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
