Equipment Cleaning Technician - Surgical Services
About The Position
The Equipment Cleaning Technician -SS provides technical, logistical, and operational support to anesthesia providers and the perioperative care team. This position ensures that all anesthesia-related equipment, supplies, and work areas are maintained to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance. The technician plays a key role in supporting efficient surgical operations, maintaining equipment readiness, and promoting safe patient flow across both surgical centers. The Surgical Services Equipment Technician will support Environmental Services (EVS) and OR Aide’s (as needed) to promote efficient room turnover and safe patient flow.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow written procedures and manufacturer’s instructions with a knowledge of basic infections control and cleaning principles.
- Has the ability to lift, push, and transport medical equipment safely.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Environmental Services, Sterile Processing, or Healthcare Support roles and/or familiarity with Alaris IV Pumps or similar patient-care devices.
- Training in healthcare infection prevention practices.
