What will you do as a EQS Reconditioning Technician? The Equipment Reconditioning Tech is responsible for assessment, reconditioning, maintenance, repair, set up, and moving of all Company beverage equipment. Equipment may include but not limited to vending machines, coolers, restaurant fountain and coffee dispensing equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assess the overall condition of corporate equipment. Recondition used or damaged equipment for company re-use. Prepare and install ancillary equipment and aftermarket items such as cashless devices. Prepare equipment for disposal. Utilize forklift and other warehouse equipment to access, relocate, and transfer equipment. Communicate with Sales Centers, supervisors, and technicians regarding shipping status. Troubleshoot equipment problems; perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory for reconditioning equipment. Maintain and complete required paperwork such as work tickets, parts list, etc. Rebuild and repair parts and equipment. Maintain clean and safe work area. Scheduling flexibility is required. Conform with, abide by, and re-enforce all regulations, policies, work procedures, and processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of general work experience required.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • Ability to follow manufacturers’ specifications and schematics.
  • Electrical problem diagnosis and repair.
  • Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle driving history that meets Company guidelines.
  • Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
  • Communication – Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Decision Making – Display willingness to make critical decisions while following company practices.
  • Enthusiasm – Ability to bring energy to the day to day as well as long-term tasks and plans.

  • Ability to do heavy lifting on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in various work environments including but not limited to heights, confined spaces and outdoors.

Nice To Haves

  • General plumbing and technical experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical, technical and electrical aptitude.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment preferred.
  • May be required to supply hand tools.
