Requirements

  • Associates Degree in technical field - Electronics, Electromechanical, Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, or similar equivalent military experience, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Six or more years of experience as an equipment technician maintaining semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow up.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to component level when necessary.
  • Experienced in the use of schematics, hand tools, DVM, oscilloscope, power supply calibration equipment and similar common diagnostic test equipment.
  • Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35lbs unassisted.
  • Able to lift/push/pull/carry more than 35lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

  • In depth knowledge of ASM Epsilon 2000 platforms, Sirius SiGe and Metrology tools
  • Monitor equipment in the area and be familiar with equipment and process related issues within the module.
  • Follow safety procedures and expectations which includes knowledge of hazards and necessary precautions for assigned tool set(s) and following Lock out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Adhere to all clean room protocols and procedures.
  • Initiate and direct advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Focus is on identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Ability and willingness to share expert knowledge with younger technicians and engineers.
  • Create and/or modify procedures and PM specifications to improve tool availability or enhance training of other technicians.
  • Project management for special projects to improve tool reliability and reduce scrap risk on equipment failures.
  • Lead or assist with equipment upgrades, modification, and installation.
  • Interface with tool vendors on tool recovery.
  • Report on project status on a regular basis.
  • Ensure timelines are met and escalate when metrics are at risk of missing target.
  • Perform data analysis of tool performance on assigned tool.
  • Propose improvements and drive improvement activities based on data.
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to troubleshoot and determine the health of tools.
  • Maintain a clean working area and follow 5S principles during repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Broad knowledge of electronic, mechanical, robotic, pneumatic, vacuum, chemical, and gas delivery systems related to semiconductor manufacturing.
