About The Position

National Jewish Health is seeking an Epidemiology Research & Data Analyst to join our team of occupational lung disease researchers in the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS). The candidate selected for this role will be detail-oriented, coachable, and highly motivated. We are particularly eager to find someone who has experience with database management and statistical analysis. The Epidemiology Research & Data Analyst will work with the Center for Deployment-Related Lung Disease and Miners Clinic programs. Major job duties include assisting with the design and conduct of epidemiologic and clinical studies, including systematic reviews; building and maintaining REDCap (and other) databases; performing statistical analysis (using SAS and/or R); and assisting with grant reporting requirements and institutional review board submissions. Position Summary To plan and implement epidemiologic and clinical research projects and to assist in data analysis and manuscript preparation.

Requirements

  • M.S. or M.P.H. in Epidemiology, or related field required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in epidemiology-related work and/or clinical trials experience, including participation in all aspects of research projects, from proposal and budget preparation, data collection, handling and analysis to manuscript preparation.
  • Administration and coordination of multiple research projects and tasks preferred.
  • Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
  • Be willing to accept supervision and work well with others.
  • Be well groomed, appropriately for your role and wear ID Badge visibly.
  • Be in compliance with all departmental and institutional policies, the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and completes NetLearning by due date annually.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in design and execution of epidemiologic and clinical studies as well as systematic reviews; implements the design through questionnaires and other data collection instruments.
  • Builds, maintains, and performs quality control for epidemiologic and clinical databases.
  • Performs statistical analyses and is confident coding in R or SAS; and assists in interpretation of data and manuscript preparation.
  • Assists with grant reporting requirements, including summarizing program impacts through data and written summaries.
  • Assists with regulatory components, including institutional review board submissions.
  • Assists with multi-site/multi-institution studies/programs, including research subject recruitment, interviewing, regular reporting to coordinating institution, and managing the acquisition of data.
  • Functions as a team member of the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences.
