Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting disease and surveillance data, conducting investigations, providing infectious disease expertise, and planning studies to prevent or control diseases, injuries, or conditions. The role involves interacting with individuals affected by disease who may be emotionally charged, and may require field deployment as a responder or leader during public health emergencies. This position may be filled at the Epidemiologist I or Epidemiologist II level depending on qualifications and experience.
