About The Position

Epicor Specialist will be responsible for partnering with EEC’s operations team to effectively deploy the company’s Epicor ERP system to drive day-to-day and long-term decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT-related field such as computer science, technical support, and information technology
  • AA CompTIA A+ certification for computer technology (exclusions may apply, particularly for web-development computer technicians)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, NetSuite, etc.).
  • 5+ years in computer networks solutions, operating systems, or other IT-related positions
  • Expert knowledge of Epicor ERP. Ability to maintain, customize, develop reports within Epicor
  • Expert knowledge of data analytics, SQL, and data warehousing
  • Experience working in operational roles, preferably in manufacturing environments
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Able to adapt and learn new things quickly
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of normal working hours to accommodate project work that must occur
  • Ability to give clear, concise, and actionable direction
  • Willingness to take direction and work with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Candidate should be service oriented and have a genuine concern for needs of the staff
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work well under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EEC’s staff to develop, implement, and manage its usage of Epicor, focusing on ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable data is delivered to the team
  • Ensure inputs (e.g., resource groups, rates, methods) are reliable, working with the operations team when changes are needed
  • Assessing the functionality of the system to achieve EEC’s operational objectives, collaborating with the on-site team to suggest, implement, and monitor changes are achieving desired objectives
  • Create suite of on-demand information (including scheduling, operating performance, and productivity)
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to develop and implement improved operating procedures related to the outputs of the improved data
  • Participate in, and lead portions of, continuous improvement projects related to the usage and design of ERP
  • Provide user support, including developing and implementing new employee training and ongoing user training
  • Work with Permag’s Epicor Manager to ensure that the “voice of the user” is being reflected in the manner in which EEC uses Epicor, and that such usage is consistent (tailored to local needs) with the overall usage at Permag
  • Implement modules, add-ons, and customizations that improve the functionality and user experience of ERP, managing subcontractors as necessary to implement
  • Support from an EEC perspective Permag’s ERP roadmap
  • Implement change control protocols
  • Assist other departments as needed with various tasks and projects
  • Other duties as assigned.
