About The Position

Under the leadership of the Applications Manager, the Application Analysts primary role is to have a complete working knowledge of assigned application, to include an understanding of the assigned department workflows for the associated system build/configure, upgrade and release process. The Application Analyst will act as the primary support contact for the application and coordinate issues that arise in their area of responsibility and must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations. They will perform workflow analysis, data collection and report issues associated with the software. The Application Analyst will serve as a liaison between team, end users, third parties and technical staff. They will work with end users by participating in training and troubleshooting issues and questions. Intermediate level technical professional. Completes moderate complex work within a discipline or specialty area. Follows processes and checklists. Understands why the process is important, including the need for flexibility as common-sense dictates. Shares feedback with process owners from personal experience. Works to resolve operational counterparts' issues. Presents options when available. Build/configures trust. Communicates with operations when requested features are available. Shares the 'why' behind the recommendation or solution. Proactively addresses know Issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Healthcare industry and previous experience in required application discipline.
  • Strong Application system knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Build/configures knowledge of the organization, processes and customers.
  • Understands workflows, data structures, and available functionality.
  • Ability to communicate initial response and progress such that others are never in the dark.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others and gain trust.
  • Ability to work independently and function as an integral part of the team.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both technical and business focused.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with the Epic Systems Tapestry application is a required.
  • Epic Certification in Referral & Authorization required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be primary responsibility for the releases, quarterly upgrades, and operational support of Tapestry.
  • Works with business users to manage the technical needs requested of Tapestry.
  • Ensures realistic customer expectations are identified and met.
  • Builds strong team relationships with vendors and internal staff throughout the organization.
  • Analyzes, designs, builds, tests, and deploys Utilization Management solutions in Epic Tapestry.
  • Responsible for work and/or moderately complex projects performed within a broader technical and business context.
  • Uses judgment to identify and solve problems in straightforward situations.
  • Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and precedents.
  • Identifying issues that arise in their application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and working to resolve them.
  • Guiding workflow design, build/configuring and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with software ensuring design and configuration meets patient care and business needs.
  • Maintaining regular communication with software vendor representatives, business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in regards to the project deliverables and timeline.
  • Develops and manages effective customer relationships with end-users and other team members to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of technology solutions.
  • Participates in team and leadership meetings to discuss team and ongoing project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates.
