About The Position

The EPIC Support Specialist - Clinic is responsible for providing advanced support for the EPIC electronic medical record system and ensuring smooth office workflows within Community Care Network's physician practices. This role involves both pre-implementation and post-go-live support, as well as performing front desk and clinical tasks as needed. The specialist must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system required.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based desktop applications is required.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities are necessary.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Basic understanding of medical documentation and terms; ability to spell accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Active current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Six months' previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support during the pre-implementation process of the EPIC system.
  • Offer post-go-live support as assigned within the CCNI physician practices.
  • Perform front desk duties and clinical tasks as applicable and assigned.
  • Interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other hospital associates to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
  • Accurately record information and understand medical documentation and terms.
