About The Position

This role provides expert analysis for Epic EMR development and support, aligning business needs with technical updates and managing system environments and migrations. The analyst proactively identifies risks, proposes process improvements, and ensures clear communication across teams. They also handle user requests, troubleshoot issues, and participate in project management, often requiring flexible hours to meet organizational demands.

Requirements

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study
  • Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications
  • Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years)
  • Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable EpicCare Ambulatory certification or proficiency preferred
  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification will need to be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • At least 2 full life cycle implementation, other implementation of systems, major system upgrade, or application preferred
  • 2+ years' experience with EPIC certification preferred
  • Application/workflow knowledge and experience with appropriate application required

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical expertise for the development and technical support of the Epic EMR
  • Assist with aligning business priorities with Epic release schedule and change management policies; partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule
  • Plan and manage Epic environments and migration events; Plan ahead to future updates and upgrades along with other known and unknown technical needs to create manageable timelines for project responsibilities; produce cohesive and complete approach to environment and migration strategies
  • Communicate identified risks concerns and ambiguities to project management team and assist with in developing solutions and mitigation strategies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies; Adapt quickly to changes in procedures, priorities and timelines
  • Maintains regular communication with other EHR/Epic teams, as well as participating/leading in weekly project team meetings
  • Works well with EHR/ Epic teams and Organization's business community, and end-users to ensure the system meets the organizations business needs
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and oversee and execute follow-up activities
  • Respond to user requests, record and troubleshoot system issues and affect corrective action plans
  • Participate in change, defect, incident, and demand management processes
  • Participate in special projects as required; Due to the responsibilities of the position, Analyst may be required to work beyond your regularly scheduled hours
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Epic certification/proficiency must be obtained/maintained and up to date including CEE's and NVT trainings to retain employment

  • Salary Range: $77,592.00 - $135,000.00
