About The Position

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Epic Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst plays a key role in developing, optimizing, and supporting Epic and related revenue cycle applications. This position partners closely with clinical, business, and operational teams to translate organizational needs into effective, efficient EHR workflows. You will design and configure system components, build workflows, support upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability of critical revenue cycle systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare experience required.
  • Background in clinical, business, or systems analysis with multiple technology implementations.
  • Working knowledge of hospital and/or physician billing, scheduling, access, HIM, and revenue cycle workflows.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, revenue cycle processes, and EHR workflows.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and design effective system solutions.
  • Proficiency with system configuration, data structures, master files, and workflow design.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, TJC, HSCRC, and Meaningful Use requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience leading meetings, facilitating decisions, and supporting project plans.
  • Self‑directed, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Must obtain required Epic certifications within 30 days of completing Epic training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospital or large medical center settings strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with Epic Resolute HB/PB, HIM, Grand Central, and/or Cadence highly desirable.
  • Current Epic certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, implement, and support Epic Revenue Cycle applications (Resolute HB/PB, HIM, Grand Central, Cadence preferred).
  • Translate operational and business requirements into optimized Epic workflows and system functionality.
  • Analyze processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Create and maintain documentation, workflows, and system specifications.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, upgrades, and go‑live support.
  • Provide end‑user training and ongoing application support.
  • Collaborate with clinical, business office, HIM, access services, and IT teams to ensure system alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support 24/7 system availability through on‑call rotation as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Revenue Cycle modules and related technologies.
