About The Position

Deaconess Health System's Digital Technology Services (DTS) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Epic Billing Analyst to support and enhance the Epic Epic Resolute and Hospital Billing Applications - our revenue cycle, billing, and claims platforms designed designed to improve revenue cycle metrics, optimize reimbursement, and minimize administrative burden to central billing offices. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of IT, finance, centralize billing offices, and clinical teams to ensure the effective operation of these revenue cycle platforms. You'll play a critical role in optimizing payer contractual reimbursement, clean claim billing, resolving issues, and aligning strategic revenue cycle goals. As the Epic Resolute Billing Application Analyst, you will ensure that the Epic Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing applications operate effectively delivering valuable revenue cycle workflows. Key responsibilities include analyzing workflows, troubleshooting system issues, managing claims and payments within Epic, and collaborating with finance, IT, and clinical teams to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance. You will manage technical configurations, troubleshoot performance issues, and collaborate with internal teams to continuously optimize these platforms. This is a pivotal role in delivering high-quality digital experiences to our patients and enhancing operational efficiencies across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field - Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Epic applications or healthcare IT systems - Required
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues - Required
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Central Billing Office, Finance, and clinical departments - Required
  • Experience with healthcare data privacy and security standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance) - Required
  • Excellent communication and training skills to support end-users effectively and ensure successful platform adoption - Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Epic Billing or other Epic Applications - Preferred
  • Experience with data analysis and performance reporting to optimize system functionality and user experience - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, maintenance and system configuration for facility structure, chargemaster, billing and claims in our Epic system.
  • Manage Epic system optimizations and enhancements related to revenue cycle.
  • Maintain the Epic security of revenue cycle users and departments.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide troubleshooting, problem solving and issue resolutions.
  • Maintain EMR testing scripts related to billing and finance workflows and processes
