About The Position

The Epic Radiant Consultant is responsible for the design, build, optimization, and support of the Epic Radiant module within the organization’s electronic health record (EHR) environment. This role partners closely with radiology leadership, clinical staff, technical teams, and project stakeholders to ensure imaging workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The consultant will serve as a subject‑matter expert for Radiant functionality, radiology workflows, and system integration with imaging modalities and PACS/RIS systems.

Requirements

  • Epic Radiant Certification (current or within required timeline)
  • 2–5+ years of experience supporting or implementing Epic Radiant
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows, imaging operations, and clinical processes
  • Experience with Epic build tools, testing methodologies, and change control processes
  • Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, modality worklists, and imaging system integrations
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and 100% remote

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epic Cupid, Cadence, or Orders
  • Experience in radiology, imaging operations, or clinical informatics
  • Experience working in a healthcare system, consulting firm, or large‑scale Epic implementation
  • Project management or team‑lead experience

Responsibilities

  • Epic Build & Configuration
  • Design, build, test, and maintain Epic Radiant components, including workflows, orders, protocols, worklists, and reporting tools
  • Configure and optimize radiology scheduling, imaging workflows, and modality worklists
  • Support upgrades, new features, and enhancement requests
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide break/fix support
  • Workflow Analysis & Optimization
  • Collaborate with radiology and clinical teams to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Document future‑state workflows and translate operational needs into Epic build requirements
  • Lead workflow design sessions and provide recommendations based on best practices
  • Integration & Technical Coordination
  • Partner with interface teams to support HL7, DICOM, and modality integrations
  • Coordinate with PACS/RIS administrators to ensure seamless imaging operations
  • Participate in testing cycles, including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a Radiant subject‑matter expert on implementation, optimization, and upgrade projects
  • Provide status updates, risk identification, and mitigation strategies to project leadership
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Orders, Cadence, Cupid, Bridges, and Reporting
  • Support training teams with content validation and workflow expertise
  • Support & Maintenance
  • Provide ongoing application support, including on‑call rotation as needed
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues
  • Maintain documentation for build, workflows, and support processes
