About The Position

We’re looking for a collaborative, curious, and solutions‑driven Epic Orders & EHR Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Epic team. In this role, you’ll help shape the clinical systems that support patient care across our organization. You’ll work closely with clinical and business partners to translate real‑world needs into smart, reliable Epic functionality and high‑quality reporting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field
  • Equivalent education/experience combinations considered
  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience
  • Experience with SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Reporting Workbench, or Clarity preferred
  • Background in hospital or medical center clinical systems, IT deployment, or workflow analysis
  • Familiarity with clinical software, databases, query languages, and system configuration
  • Understanding of physician practice workflows across multiple specialties
  • Experience in areas such as CPOE, clinical documentation, inpatient nursing, billing, scheduling, access services, or HIM is highly valued
  • Epic clinical systems experience strongly preferred
  • Prior project team or clinical systems support experience is beneficial
  • Epic Orders and Epic Bugsy certification required
  • Additional Epic Clarity, Epic OpTime, Bugsy and/or Epic Anesthesia certifications preferred
  • If not certified, must complete Epic training and achieve certification (Orders, Bugsy and related modules) within required timelines
  • Certifications must be maintained and kept current
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and EHR systems
  • Ability to translate business needs into system specifications and functional designs
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and related reporting tools
  • Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality
  • Skilled in workflow mapping, process improvement, and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills—able to work with both technical and non‑technical users
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable leading meetings, facilitating decisions, and supporting project plans
  • Self‑directed, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to changing needs

Nice To Haves

  • OpTime/Anesthesia/Clarity experience is a plus
  • Experience with SAS, JMP, or similar statistical tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and support Epic Orders, Bugsy and related EHR applications
  • Build and maintain operational and project‑based reports, dashboards, and databases
  • Partner with clinical and business teams to understand needs and translate them into Epic functionality
  • Design workflows, document changes, and ensure data integrity and quality across systems
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support for Epic clinical applications
  • Analyze processes, identify issues, and recommend improvements
  • Participate in project planning, testing, documentation, and go‑live support
  • Build strong working relationships with clinical, business, and IT stakeholders
  • Contribute to 24/7 support and ongoing system maintenance
