The Clinical Application Analyst plays a crucial role in providing support and information for application-related issues within the healthcare environment. This position requires a unique blend of technical skills and a solid understanding of operational departments and their information systems tools. The primary objective of the Clinical Application Analyst is to enhance the functionality of application systems, improve workflows, optimize business processes, and identify suitable systems solutions for end users. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the application systems are utilized effectively to meet the needs of the organization and its users. In this position, the Clinical Application Analyst acts as the primary support contact for end-users of the application. They are responsible for identifying and resolving issues that arise within their application area, as well as those that may impact other application teams. The analyst guides the design of workflows, builds and tests the system, and addresses various technical issues associated with Epic software. They also play a key role in implementing requested changes to the system and serve as a liaison between end users' workflow needs and the Epic implementation staff. Regular communication with Epic representatives is essential, including participation in weekly project team meetings. The Clinical Application Analyst collaborates with Epic representatives, business partners, and end users to ensure that the system aligns with the organization's business needs, particularly concerning project deliverables and timelines. Additionally, they work alongside operational subject matter experts to build application-specific workflows or processes tailored for clinics, practices, and users. This may include creating visit navigators, preference lists, orders and linked charges, results routing, documentation templates, application-specific rules, questionnaires, flowsheets, reports, SmartForms, visit types, user role templates, schedules, and work queues.
