About The Position

The Instructional Systems Designer is fully experienced with the required Epic skillset or knowledge, with a focus in Epic Clinical applications. Able to work independently; capable of serving as a trainer, and mentor to junior and mid-level staff. They must be capable of designing and developing instructional material for customer training courses that supports the organization. They must demonstrate and use effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills to independently develop entry and advanced level courses for both internal and external audiences. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding computer systems, applications and interfaces. Demonstrates proficiency in data gathering techniques and the ability to devise, design and communicate systems solutions to client issues and problems of medium complexity. Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of the Connecticut Children’s business functions. May require specialized knowledge in a specific application/computer system multimedia tools; i.e. Captivate, etc. Creates detailed work-related specifications, system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and project and change management plans. Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues. Demonstrates proficient degree of analytical skills.
