About The Position

This position is responsible for training and education for the electronic health record and all applications within the EHR umbrella. The trainer will receive proficiency in the Epic application they are supporting and will report to the Training Manager while working closely with Credentialed Trainers to provide end-user training and maintain all EHR Applications.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience working within an EHR or associated application support.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Training, Mentoring or Support Desk.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, the Internet, and other systems; ability to effectively adapt to changing curriculum.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing curriculum.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently function and master job responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to write well.
  • Has previously been an Epic Credentialed Trainer or SME (Subject Matter Expert).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in workflow design and system build to gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of workflows and system functionality.
  • Train and provide support to Physicians, Nurses, Ancillary staff, and other personnel on the use of the Epic system and other EHR Applications.
  • Work closely with Epic Credentialed Trainers and operational Subject Matter Experts.
  • Provide support at the EHR Support Desk assisting end-users with Epic/EHR Application fixes.
  • Review and complete Service Now tickets assigned according to the application supported.
  • Solicit trainee feedback and adapt training accordingly.
  • Complete rounding in the departments that the application supports.
  • Assist with video creation for end-user training.
  • Assist with Optimization training.
  • Coordinate and assist with MST (Master Training Environment).
  • Provide Go-Live end user support for large projects.
  • Assist with testing changes to the Epic System and other allocated EHR applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance.
