Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in a hospital or clinic pharmacy required.
  • Background in IT system deployment within a hospital or major medical center strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital software/hardware, databases, query languages, and system configuration.
  • Knowledge of physician office workflows across specialties and advanced computer skills.
  • Epic Willow Pharmacy certification required.
  • Epic Willow Inventory certification with inpatient pharmacy build experience required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, Epic applications, and pharmacy inventory systems.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, configure systems, and create solutions that improve efficiency and patient safety.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, TJC, and Meaningful Use requirements.
  • Skilled in flowcharting, documentation, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, and clearly convey technical needs.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across clinical, business, and IT teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare support areas such as billing, scheduling, access services, or HIM is a plus.
  • Hands-on Epic systems experience highly desirable.
  • Prior project team or systems support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Epic project team to translate business needs into smart, efficient EHR functionality.
  • Design, configure, and implement Epic Willow Inventory systems that streamline pharmacy operations.
  • Develop workflows, documentation, and training programs to ensure staff success.
  • Analyze processes, identify challenges, and recommend solutions that drive efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, business providers, and IT colleagues to build strong problem-solving partnerships.
  • Take ownership of system components—testing, documenting, and ensuring 24/7 support and maintenance.
