We are seeking an experienced Epic Conversion Project Manager to support, coach, and advise our client’s IT Project Team throughout a major Epic implementation. In this role, you will guide the organization through all phases of the data conversion and migration process, including planning, mapping, extraction, validation, testing, and activation. This role is ideal for a seasoned Epic professional with deep data conversion expertise who enjoys mentoring client teams and driving consistency across complex implementation workstreams.   • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client’s IT Project Team across the entire Epic implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance during Design, Workflow Analysis, System Build, Conversion Cycles, Testing, and Go-Live Readiness.
  • Support project governance, risk management, decision-making, and issue escalation.
  • Mentor client resources to improve internal capability and long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Oversee data conversion strategy and execution for all assigned Epic applications.
  • Lead planning sessions for data mapping, extraction rules, transformation logic, and load schedules.
  • Ensure data conversion activities align with Epic methodology and project timelines.
  • Coordinate mock conversions, integrated testing, reconciliation, and data validation cycles.
  • Troubleshoot conversion issues and ensure data quality, completeness, and integrity.
  • Work closely with application analysts, reporting teams, technical integration specialists, and operational stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between business requirements, data structures, and technical solutions.
  • Engage with third-party vendors and legacy system owners to ensure smooth data migration.
  • Minimum 6 years of Epic build and support experience across relevant modules.
  • 4+ years of recent Epic implementation experience, specifically supporting data conversion and migration.
  • Working knowledge of Epic data models, conversion toolsets, reconciliation processes, and testing cycles.
  • Strong expertise in healthcare data, legacy system analysis, and cross-system mapping.
  • Proven project management skills, including timeline planning, documentation, and communication.
  • Experience leading multiple conversion cycles (mock, integrated, parallel, and cutover).
  • Familiarity with reporting and extraction tools such as Clarity, Caboodle, SQL, or ETL tools.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring client-side resources.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
