About The Position

The Epic Cogito Administrator at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, and support of the Epic Data Analytics suite, including tools like Clarity, Caboodle, and Slicer Dicer. This role serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with various teams to enhance data solutions that improve healthcare quality and outcomes. The position requires a strong understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and relevant technologies, and involves working in a hybrid environment with a focus on agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the Data and analytics landscape required.
• At least three (3) years of experience with Epic Cogito/Data Analytics suite preferred.
• Strong SQL, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing fundamentals.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with data integration tools like SSIS, DBT, and Informatica.
• Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (Business Objects) or Visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and PowerBI.

Nice To Haves

• Epic Cogito Certification preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodology for development.
• Experience with machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and support Epic Data Analytics suite of products including Clarity, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer, and Business Objects.
• Participate in architecture, design, and integration aspects of relevant tools and their development lifecycle.
• Establish automated solutions to monitor and ensure optimal user experience and performance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and vendors for smooth upgrades and patch deployments.
• Configure and deploy Caboodle/Slicer Dicer data models and perform enhancements to meet clinical/business needs.
• Develop and enhance SSIS packages/ETL jobs and identify automation opportunities.
• Maintain all relevant functional and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with business experts and data scientists to develop integrated, reusable data sets for analytics.
• Utilize software development practices such as version control via Git, CI/CD, and release management.
• Implement data quality frameworks and checks, and participate in shared production on-call support.
