About The Position

The Epic Client Systems Administrator is responsible for installing and maintaining Epic Systems client servers and applications within a growing healthcare organization. This permanent role offers a comprehensive benefits package and the possibility of hybrid or remote work arrangements. The position requires monitoring server performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security and reliability of the Epic client systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's in Business Management or Information Systems.
• Epic Client System Manager Certification Required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years relatable experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Windows server OS concepts, MS Windows server design and tuning in a virtual environment.
• Experience with server back-up and recovery strategies and high availability design and management.
• Demonstrated healthcare operational knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system commands and scripting.
• Experience with managing Citrix platform.
• Must be available for support by pager or telephone 24 hours per day x 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring servers performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Applying hot fixes, security updates, and service packs.
• Maintaining Epic client systems backups and verifying restores.
• Managing security and maintaining the environments that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs.
• Testing failover procedures for high availability.
• Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources.
• Following Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration.
• Participating on project teams as a key contributor and coordinating issues with Epic.
• Writing fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner, adhering to standards.
