About The Position

Inova Clinical Applications is looking for a dedicated Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Grand Central to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day-shift from Monday – Friday. The Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Grand Central maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages IT projects/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health System's business needs using the EpicCare system. Communicates project and team status to internal/external audiences to keep project team informed. Maintains Epic applications while facilitating updates, new releases and system enhancements. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova. Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree; or HS Diploma/GED and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 1 year of healthcare administration experience
  • Certification: Epic certification or proficiency in Grand Central required or attained within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting the Epic Grand Central module preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems.
  • Participates in all phases of review and testing of new Epic application releases.
  • Assists in conducting system investigations to determine general feasibility, cost and alternative system solutions as well as potential system enhancements.
  • Serves as an applications support contact, as needed, to troubleshoot problems while incorporating end users preferences, desired reports and collecting other relative information to optimize the Epic experience.
  • Analyzes business operations as they relate to build decisions.
  • Ensures that data coming across an interface into an Epic application meets business needs.
  • Resolves problems, communicates status and escalates issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes IT processes and stays up to date on current programming tools/methodologies.
  • Participates in ongoing maintenance of major systems while following all Change Management procedures.
  • Determines new procedures for maximizing the benefits achieved through the use of automated systems.
