About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Epic Cadence / Prelude Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance Epic scheduling and registration workflows. This role requires Epic Cadence and/or Prelude certification, hands-on implementation experience, and active participation in build, testing, and go‑live support. The analyst will work closely with operational, clinical, and revenue cycle stakeholders to ensure efficient access, accurate patient registration, and optimized scheduling processes.

Requirements

  • Epic Cadence and/or Prelude Certification (active and current).
  • 5+ years of Epic Cadence/Prelude analyst experience, including at least one full Epic implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with: Scheduling and registration workflow build
  • Provider, department, and visit type configuration
  • Testing and validation activities (UAT, integrated testing)
  • Strong understanding of front-end access workflows and patient registration processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows and recommend system improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in healthcare environments (hospital systems, ambulatory clinics, or medical groups).
  • Experience supporting a net-new Epic Cadence/Prelude Implementation (preferably as a refuel or back-to-foundation). Must be certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with additional Epic modules such as Referrals
  • Experience supporting multi-specialty or high-volume scheduling environments.
  • Experience with Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, or access transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle impacts related to registration accuracy and scheduling.
  • Additional Epic certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic Cadence and Prelude functionality, including scheduling templates, provider records, visit types, referral workflows, and registration processes.
  • Design, build, configure, and maintain Epic Cadence and Prelude applications to support ambulatory, hospital-based, and enterprise scheduling workflows.
  • Participate in Epic implementations, optimizations, and system upgrades, including workflow design, build validation, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, access teams, front-desk staff, clinicians, and IT partners to gather requirements and translate business needs into Epic solutions.
  • Build and maintain: Scheduling templates and visit types
  • Provider and department records
  • Registration workflows and data collection standards
  • Develop and execute unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT); document outcomes and resolve defects.
  • Support go‑live and post‑go‑live stabilization, including issue triage and end‑user support.
  • Ensure integrations and workflows between Cadence, Prelude, and downstream systems (e.g., Resolute, MyChart, Referrals) function as designed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, configuration changes, and system enhancements.
  • Adhere to Epic best practices, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in change control, release management, and system governance processes.
