About The Position

An Epic credentialed trainer (CT) is a selected individual who will become part of the Epic program for the purposes of assisting with the delivery of UH Epic curriculum. They will be educated on the content they will deliver during Epic classes (both virtually facilitated and in-person) through a formal training program. They will be assigned to an Epic Principal Trainer and take primary direction from this person during their Epic duties. Their primary role is to learn the UH Epic curriculum, understand the impactful workflow, achieve expert level in navigating Epic, and effectively deliver our Epic curriculum to UH caregivers in the manner outlined by their Principal Trainer. These individuals will achieve Credentialed status through a formal training program, typically 4-6 weeks, coordinated by the Application-specific Principal Trainer. They will then be assigned Epic education classes to deliver on a defined schedule throughout our Epic implementation efforts. The number and length of the classes they will be asked to deliver will vary by content area. In addition to the delivery of the educational curriculum, the CT will be responsible for classroom management and logistics including work in the UH Learning Management System to print and review rosters, update enrollments and initiate post class surveys. The ideal Credentialed Trainer will have subject matter expertise in the workflow and content area they've been selected to deliver education for and will have previous training facilitation experience. Prior achievement of Epic credentialed status at another organization does not transfer to a credentialed status at this organization, but may significantly reduce the time required to achieve credentialing due to experience. The primary responsibility of credentialed trainers is to lead end-user training using the curriculum designed by principal trainers. This includes preparing for class, setting up the classroom, facilitating the class, and following up on any outstanding questions that arise in the classroom.
