About the position
The position involves configuring and testing Epic-released and Foundation System content for various applications, including Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer Data Models, Radar Dashboards, and Cogito SQL. The role requires maintaining a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers, in line with the organization's Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Responsibilities also include creating content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle, writing SQL, modifying existing reports, distributing analytics content, and reviewing peer reports for validity. The position requires collaboration with subject matter experts to understand data consumer needs and maintaining the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records. Additionally, the role involves testing analytics builds, reviewing upgrade documentation, managing 3rd party extracts, and participating in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations.
- Configures and tests Epic-released and Foundation System content for applications.
- Creates content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
- Writes SQL and configures Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.
- Modifies existing reports as necessary.
- Distributes analytics content to data consumers.
- Reviews peer reports for validity.
- Works with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers.
- Maintains the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records.
- Tests analytics build in a specified testing environment.
- Reviews upgrade documentation related to Clarity and Caboodle features.
- Responsible for 3rd party extracts, including sFTP process.
- Builds and maintains Cubes, Extracts, Slicer Dicer Custom Filters, and Third-party BI Tools.
- Participates in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
Requirements
- Epic Certification(s).
- Minimum of three years application modification and computer system support.
- Minimum three years PC-oriented experience including basic word processing and spreadsheets.
- Report writing, data extraction, and database knowledge.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure.
