About The Position

The Epic BI Developer Sr position focuses on the analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to meet business needs. The role requires strong analytical and logical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills. The developer will work independently or as part of a team, balancing multiple priorities while completing complex tasks on time. The position involves close collaboration with end users to translate business needs into well-designed solutions using BI tools, while also overseeing team member designs to ensure alignment with BI strategy. The developer will maintain technical currency and certifications, provide production support for BI solutions, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on initiatives requiring BI expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence.
• Epic Cogito Data Warehouse certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Epic Caboodle Data Model certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Epic Clarity Administration certification issued by Epic (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Experienced in logical and physical database design and hands-on data modeling techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of business intelligence concepts and designs.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lead large projects and implement department-wide solutions and standards.
• Ability to mentor team members in the BI space.
• Preferred remote locations in IL, WI, NC, GA.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance, communication skills.
• Independently complete analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions.
• Work closely with end users to understand and translate business needs into validated solutions.
• Oversee team member designs to ensure alignment with BI strategy.
• Maintain technical currency and certifications in areas of responsibility.
• Provide complete and accurate documentation for work based on current documentation standards.
• Provide production support for business intelligence solutions including problem analysis and testing.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on initiatives requiring business intelligence expertise.
