The Epic ASAP Analyst supports the mission of the facility by configuring, supporting, and optimizing applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software. Serves as a liaison between system end-users (customers), operational leaders, additional support resources and vendors to design, build and optimize their assigned applications in a timely and high-quality manner. Facilitates assessment of current practice and translation of end user needs into the optimal configuration and build of clinical applications. Demonstrates solid analyst skills, advanced technical/maintenance skills, and clinical knowledge to provide advanced support of clinical application use, enhancement and process improvement. Must be able to analyze business issues/requirements and workflows and apply their application knowledge to meet operational and organizational needs.

  • Configure, support, and optimize applications within the Epic EHR software.
  • Act as a liaison between system end-users, operational leaders, support resources, and vendors.
  • Design, build, and optimize assigned applications in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Facilitate assessment of current practices and translate end user needs into optimal configurations.
  • Provide advanced support of clinical application use, enhancement, and process improvement.
  • Analyze business issues and workflows to meet operational and organizational needs.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current RN license in the State of Georgia or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria.
  • Epic Certification required (must attain within first 45 days of training if not already certified).
  • Two (2+) years of applicable IT or clinical experience.
  • One (1+) year of Hospital/Health Care organizational experience.
  • Epic ASAP Certification preferred.
  • Prior analyst or end-user experience with inpatient/emergency department clinical systems.
  • Knowledge of inpatient/emergency department nursing workflows.
  • Experience in healthcare.
