About The Position

This is an entry-level Epic Application Analyst position who plays a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance, and support of Epic Systems software applications within the healthcare organization. This position involves working closely with end-users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective use of Epic software to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

BA/BS required or 2 years of relevant work experience in healthcare maybe substituted.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
Ability to work on rotational after hours and Saturdays as needed.
Ability to read and write English fluently is required.

Nice To Haves

Preferred Epic Systems certification in one or more modules or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge of Agile methodology (JIRA) ticketing system (preferred).
Previous experience with healthcare IT systems or Epic applications (preferred).
Fluency in other languages is an asset.

Responsibilities

Implementation and Configuration: Assist in the implementation and configuration of Epic software modules.
Work with project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure integration with existing systems.
Support and Troubleshooting: Provide first-level support for end-users experiencing issues with Epic applications.
Investigate and troubleshoot reported problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Training and Documentation: Conduct training materials for end-users on the proper use of Epic applications.
Create and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing activities, including system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Ensure the quality and reliability of Epic applications by conducting thorough testing.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project statuses.
