About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist (ST) position is a part-time role focused on providing home health services in the Far Southwest Suburbs of Illinois, including areas such as Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox, Joliet, Lockport, Homer Glen, Lemont, Palos, Worth, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Forest, Midlothian, Blue Island, Crestwood, and Alsip. The position requires a commitment to quality care, patient education, and effective coordination of services. The role involves extensive travel within the designated geographical boundaries and requires adherence to scheduled work hours based on patient needs. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2500.00, contingent upon employment in the exact position at the time of payout.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
• Licensed in State of Illinois (or eligible for licensure).
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• 1 year of clinical experience or strong clinical affiliation experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless exempted.
• Valid driver's license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of computer use (e.g., Microsoft Word, email).
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.

• Participates in staff meetings, agency in-services, and educational activities.
• Develops and maintains a restorative relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Promotes patient/family knowledge and confidence to manage self-care.
• Demonstrates behaviors that enhance productivity and understanding of financial conditions in healthcare.
