This job instructs, guides, and supports an Epic analytical team on complex situations and workflows to modify and support Epic Systems by encoding, testing, debugging, and installing elements. Implements consistent processes for the team to follow. Works with team to drive execution of IS wide projects such as deployment and implementation projects and supports the management of resources and schedules for team or deployment related projects. Leads team level projects and initiatives and serves as a mentor and a trusted advisor to the team. Attends regular meetings and/or provides regular updates as a representative of the team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of Epic experience.
  • Epic certification.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally from all backgrounds.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and research skills and ability to support Epic systems by encoding, testing, debugging, and installing elements as needed.
  • Strong leadership, prioritization, planning and task delegation skills and ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of personal accountability for work.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic, operational or clinical expertise and ability to perform Gap analysis.
  • Strong technical integration skills and ability to design and implement technical solutions and processes.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work flexible hours (weekends/holidays/nights/on call).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Project Management Professional PMP or equivalent (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Change Agent, AGILE Project Management, or Program Management Professional).

Responsibilities

  • Partners and effectively communicates with assigned customers/end users while escalating appropriate potential concerns to management.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with operations, stakeholders and other IS team members, and consistently works with these groups to determine needs and their associated IS solutions from an integrated perspective.
  • Collaborates with direct leader on the daily workload (tickets and project work) and priorities, current assignments of team members and required adjustments (of staff and assignments) to meet business needs.
  • Serves as a team resource and guides analysts through the design, build/configuration, testing, implementation and maintenance of the team's core Epic applications and their integration with other supported systems/applications.
  • Coordinates the team's efforts in support of upgrades, implementations and/or initiatives, establishing timelines and assigning tasks.
  • Facilitates team meetings to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns and upcoming milestones.
  • Mentors analysts to improve their skills and prepare them for more responsibility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
