About The Position

An Epic Analyst II works to build and support one or more Epic modules for live and implementing customers. This individual will work with clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle users to support nephrology practices using the Epic CKD product by performing day-to-day maintenance of the Epic system, enhancement build, and new implementation build. This person will use their knowledge and experience to solve new problems with technology and should be self-disciplined and able to thrive in a primarily remote environment. General Information about the Epic CKD Team: DaVita Physicians Solutions has established a partnership with Epic, the market leader in Electronic Health Records (EHRs), with the goal of maximizing physician satisfaction and improving the quality outcomes of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients. The tools and support the team delivers are used by nephrology practices to manage CKD patient populations in promoting better outcomes and interoperability, while improving physician experience and aiding in revenue cycle practice management. DaVita Physician Solutions CKD EHR by Epic, is offered to nephrology practices that are independently owned and operated. Many of these practices are smaller than typical Epic customers and value independence while leveraging the best available industry technology.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Management/Administration, Nursing, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of healthcare IT or operational experience.
  • Operational knowledge of Patient Access, Scheduling, or Front Desk Operations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with non-technical end users and executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow for incident management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Epic Certification: One or more current Epic certifications are required.
  • Note: If not currently certified, the candidate must be willing and able to obtain Epic certification within a specified timeframe (e.g., 3 months) of hire.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to [25%] to support implementation, site visits, or training (e.g., trips to Epic headquarters in Verona, WI).
  • Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility required for go-live support and system upgrades.
  • Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions.
  • Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) vendors and Referrals/Authorization workflows is highly preferred.
  • Preferred combination: Professional Billing Admin - Preferred Professional Billing Claims Required.
