Epic Analyst II (This position will involve 2-3 days per week onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana) RESPONSIBILITIES: Plays a key role in the development, support, and rollout of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Responsible for helping optimize workflow processes by configuring and customizing Epic applications that meet the specific needs of the organization. Collaborates with clinical and operational teams to support the implementation and ongoing use of Epic across the health system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle, including gathering requirements, developing use cases, and evaluating software solutions. Brings relevant topics to discussions/meetings. Speaks to system settings and tasks. Develops, configures, and modifies moderately complex information systems to support clinical and operational needs. Creates and maintains documentation of business requirements, workflows (current and future state), and system configurations. Designs, codes/configures, tests, and maintains application programs. Coordinates all testing phases of Epic applications during implementations, upgrades, and optimizations. Supports existing application functionality and expand support to additional areas as needed. Develops strong working relationships with end users, business partners, and Epic project teams to ensure optimal system usage. Utilizes Epic best practices to ensure system build meets organizational standards and workflows. Provides hands-on training and support to end users. Serves as a key onsite Epic resource during system implementations and ongoing support activities. Lead and facilitate team activities related to IT and clinical/business systems. Provides second-level support for incidents and requests related to the Epic application. Serves as project lead for Epic software releases and new application implementations. Participates in on-call support as needed for system troubleshooting and issue resolution. Leads and monitors application testing and validation during system upgrades or new module implementations. Provides input into policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices related to Epic usage and system optimization. Collaborates with facility core team members to deliver hands-on training as needed. Builds and maintains strong relationships with end users and facility leadership (physicians, nurses, revenue cycle, health information management, etc.).
