About The Position

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide. Job Description Summary: The EPC Regional Manager is responsible for oversight and management of multiple construction projects within an assigned region, oversight of all project management staff in that region, and assuring overall regional success and alignment with business plan. This role can be hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or remote within the West Region (CA, NV, WA) and will require travel. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years Utility interconnection, PV solar and BESS construction experience is recommended.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, budget forecasting, with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Experience working on union projects where Project Labor Agreements are involved.
  • Travel is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.
  • Experience with building projects located on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to project managers, site supervisors, and other construction professionals within the region.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and project updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the region.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to secure new projects and contracts.
  • Meet in person with clients as needed to secure new work, improve existing relationships, and address client issues.
  • Develop and manage budgets for construction projects.
  • Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to stay within budget constraints.
  • Oversee overall profitability of the Western Region and manage P&L to the financial business plan.
  • Ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, financial performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement risk management plans to minimize project disruptions and financial losses.
  • Develop and work through union assignments ahead of start of construction which align with Project Labor Agreements for specific projects.
  • Coordinate and work with individual unions to the extent needed to ensure proper workforce, resolve challenges, and coordinate for successful completion of the projects.
