The EPC Project Director for Electric Grid at Black & Veatch will function in a project and commercial leadership capacity, owning the bottom-line for a portfolio of EPC and services projects primarily encompassing transmission, distribution, and substations. This role also has the potential to manage projects in other areas of the grid, such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and private networks. The Project Director will manage a portfolio of some of the most visible projects within the company, leading initiatives that have substantial impacts within various global communities. This position involves mentoring and supervising project managers in a high-growth area of the organization, ensuring that projects are executed effectively and efficiently. In this role, the Project Director will direct complex projects requiring global resources and multiple partners or project managers. They will manage multiple clients and be accountable for implementing expanded new business objectives. The Project Director will oversee and deliver opportunities for new and repeat business, finalizing key contract negotiations with client executives and project managers, while managing a broad and varied complex risk profile. The position requires substantial travel to project and client sites, with a hybrid work model allowing for two days of remote work and three days in-office at any of Black & Veatch's offices in the Southeast US region, particularly in Tampa, FL or Orlando, FL.
