Torch Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Journeyman, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES). The ISSO will support the Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2) system, which provides management support and serves as a data repository for U.S. Air Force aircraft maintenance functions, engine health and performance, and aircraft flight analysis capabilities worldwide. This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in cybersecurity, responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for the assigned IT systems. The ISSO will implement and enforce all AF cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures, ensuring compliance with security guidelines and maintaining situational awareness to improve or restore cybersecurity posture. The ISSO will be tasked with completing and maintaining required cybersecurity certification in accordance with AFMAN 17-1303, ensuring all users have the requisite security clearances and complete annual cybersecurity training. The role also involves maintaining authorized user access control documentation, ensuring compliance with security configuration guidelines, and following proper configuration management procedures prior to implementation. The ISSO will coordinate changes with the system-level ISSM, SCA, and/or the Wing Cybersecurity office, initiate protective or corrective measures when security incidents or vulnerabilities are discovered, and report these incidents according to AFI 17-203. Additionally, the ISSO will initiate exceptions, deviations, or waivers to cybersecurity requirements as necessary.
