About The Position

The Electrophysiology/Perimetry Technician (EPPU Tech) works directly with the
patient performing preliminary evaluations and a variety of diagnostic tests.
These duties may consist of the measurement of visual acuity, lensometry,
tonometry, pupil evaluation, anterior chamber depth measurement, instillation of
eye medications, obtaining medical history, color vision testing, visual field
testing, dark adaptation testing, electro-oculography and electroretinography.
Data is presented to the staffing Ophthalmologist to determine diagnosis and
treatment plans for the patient. Accuracy and applicability of the patient data
gathered is the responsibility of the EPPU Tech. The EPPU Tech is expected to
interact with patients, physicians and allied health staff.
