About The Position

The Electrophysiology Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures in the Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP). This includes recording hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operating special X-Ray equipment, burning c.d.’s, assisting the invasive/interventional cardiologist with procedures using sterile technique, and possessing knowledge of cardiac medications.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited program in Radiology Technology, or Equivalent
• Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent (CCI/CVT)
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program
• One- year experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Radiologic Technologist Radiologic Technology Registration/Licensure as required (ARRT)
• Florida License CRT
• RCIS within 12 months of hire required
• AHA ACLS Certification
• AHA BLS Certification
• Registry or Certification of Cardiovascular Technologist, RCES or RCIS within 12 months of hire
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
• Able to perform effectively in a complex, patient centered environment

Nice To Haves

• EP Laboratory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.
• Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information.
• Adheres to Corporate, Regional, Hospital and Departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.
