About The Position

The EP Cardiovascular Device Tech facilitates quality management of the care of patients undergoing ICD and Pacemaker interrogation. These procedures require the management of patients undergoing various tests associated with the Device Clinic and require the ability to work closely with internal and external departments such as the stress lab, CHF clinic, EP Clinic and lab, and nuclear medicine. This position is also responsible for tracking outcomes and maintaining a database of device patients. Keeps current on medical and patient care devices associated with this service. Maintains close ties with contacts at different facilities and with manufacturers to gather information on devices, passing this information on to staff. Creates and implements teaching programs and curricula. Compiles and evaluates data and maintains records and supplies. Maintains customer/patient flow. May be required to travel to outreach device clinics as assigned. Inpatient hospital devices interrogations. Potential for weekend, holiday coverage, and after-hours coverage. Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-year / Associate Degree OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required.
  • 2 years Related field (Required)
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) (Required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • IBHRE certified (International Board of Health Rhythm Examiners) Preferred
