The EP Assembler assembles metal products used in canal gates either, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties: Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. Removes small quantities of metal with handheld files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts. Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machine to assist in assembly operation. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies. Placing and expediting requisitions for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
