About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Senior EOSH Specialist to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team located in the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Egg Harbor, NJ. This position will be supporting the FAA’s EOSH Section, ANG-E372. NOTE: This is an on-site position. Primary Responsibilities: Develop, implement and maintain occupational safety and health programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations Review and revise emergency response plans as necessary. Conduct emergency evacuations drills. Complete assigned tasks using electronic tracking system Archibus within prescribed time frames Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplaces, equipment and processes to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Assess workplaces and tasks for potential risks to chemical exposure, physical hazards, noise, ergonomics, and environmental impacts. Observe work processes to revise existing job hazard analyses and develop new job hazard analyses as necessary. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries and near misses to determine root cause and to recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Maintain compliance with the OSHA Hazard Communication standard. Develop and deliver safety related training of affected personnel.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major course of study in Occupational Safety and Health Fields, or degree in other related fields that included at least 24 semester hours of study related to safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biological sciences
  • Three (3) years of relevant and documented experience in the following: (a) Knowledge of OSHA, NEC and NFPA regulations. (b) Performing indoor air quality investigations. (c) Preparing and delivering EOSH training (d) Completing job hazard analyses (e) conducting workplace safety inspections of facilities and construction activities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain FAA Public Trust Suitability

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred current certifications with refresher training as required in OSHA #6005 Collateral Duty Course for Other Federal Agencies or OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course or OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Safety Course and AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector.
