About The Position
The position is aimed at supporting students at Cal Maritime, particularly those facing systemic barriers to success. The role involves assisting students from educationally disadvantaged and low-income backgrounds, helping them develop college success skills and strategies. Candidates will be expected to maintain a professional attitude, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively in both oral and written forms. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position also requires knowledge of campus resources and the ability to handle interpersonal conflicts effectively.
